Celebrate our wedding day with us
Our wedding day is Wednesday 6th Feb 2008 (Waitangi Day). We're holding the ceremony at Darebin Parklands at 3pm.
We're so looking forward to seeing you all there!
How to find
- Their website has information and a map.
- We recommend travelling by car or taxi.
- Melways reference is 31 C9.
- The easiest route is travelling down Separation Street to the very end. At the end there's a small bluestone laneway with some side parking on it.
Dress
Women: Think comfortable summer frocks/light trousers with heels that can handle uneven ground. You'll be walking down a slope. Ryn's wearing green, so please don't wear green! Hats are a good idea.
Men: Summer business casual. Think trousers & shirts, no tie expected.
Weather
January so far has ranged from 22 to 42 degrees for afternoon temperatures. The last major rainfall was before Christmas. We strongly recommend overseas visitors pack sunhats, sunscreen, parasols etc as there won't be any shade where the ceremony is.
We've been checking the weather plan for the day, and if it rains we'll still hold our ceremony here, at the covered bbq station. The rangers report that they hardly get rain, even when the rest of Melbourne does so our fingers are crossed.
We ask that any visitors take care with cigarettes due to fire risk and drought. It's fine by the road and there's bins available, but please be careful in the drier areas.
